The lady of the left is known to me as “Grandma Schwarz”, my great grandmother. She called herself Doris. She was born Frederinne Dorothea RITTER in Holmestrand, Norway on Monday, 10 July 1865. I believe it was her father, Christian Ritter from Erfurt, Germany who is commemorated on The Ritter Mystery Cup. The lady on the far right is Doris’ daughter, and my grandmother, Elsie Schwarz Schletter. The twosome in the middle are unkown at this time but believed to be Fippinger family members (another mystery). The photo is thought to be taken on the Fippinger farm in Madison, Connecticut. Christian lived very near the Fippingers in Madison.
